The Porsche 911 is a good SUV. Something does not fit this title. No, you have not mistaken, we’re not talking about the Porsche Cayenne. Specifically talking about a Porsche 911 SC in 1983, almost as standard. The same car with little modification was driven by his owner to an off-road park on New Year’s Day 2012 to perform movements and maneuvers in which many modern SUVs would end without low or possibly destroyed.

There’s video of everything, but is after the jump. Before you see it, you have to keep a few things in mind. First, were cars that once were built with the reliability and robustness in mind. Of course, it is likely to be less sensitive than a Porsche 991. Another important fact is the great track record of off-road “Nueveonce”, who have participated in numerous rallies. Even several 911 and 959 took part in the grueling Dakar without incident.

Still, an off-road park does not seem the most appropriate place for a 911 classic. The car’s owner says he has no further modification to remove the bumpers to improve approach and departure angles. It is impressive to see how the sport digests jumps and climbs the more complicated than rear-wheel drive only. It really is a video worth watching. What we face is a moral issue … treat a classic.

Is the car capable of supporting this abuse? Some good shots suspension takes them, there’s no doubt. But then, is to enjoy a car that is designed for this. If your own checks it well and cares behind these sessions should not be reason for concern.
