Peugeot RCZ 2013

Having unveiled the first images of the new Peugeot RCZ, we meet new details, if anything, even more interesting and developments surrounding this small coupe to be presented at the Paris Motor Show, which will be effective renewal during the first quarter of 2013. But without doubt among the most important news is the confirmation by the prototype Peugeot RCZ R Concept that next year will also sport a version equipped with a 1.6 liter THP 260 bhp.

The new design of the Peugeot RCZ 2013 and previously as I overtook, and integrates the new details of the Peugeot brand, with a sleek, minimalist grille that land is put through with the design that until just a few years was imposed on the mark gala, with grills something rough and larger. Ultimately it seems that Peugeot continues its search for identity that have already won as the Peugeot 208 models and will undoubtedly be one of the most important values of the brand in the future short and medium term.

New design for Peugeot RCZ, improved quality and greater customization
Peugeot RCZ 2013The quality touches and appreciated in the first Peugeot RCZ is reinforced with new details such as the handle of the gearshift in black lacquer, new leather inserts to match the seat covers in the door panels and aluminum inserts for options Integral Leather and Leather Club.

Peugeot also wanted to increase the chance of customizing your small coupe, with a very large number of combinations and beading items like grilled black lacquered, three colors for the roof arch (standard aluminum, sand and matte black) three types of adhesives for body (longitudinal central band, sidebands in the low and gray longitudinal band skewed to one side). There will be available ten different wheel designs of 18 “and 19”, including two new invoice.

The Black Pack will include new roof arches in black matte black and other details like beading on the grill, brake calipers and mirror housings. The Sport Pack, standard for the THP 200 hp, has a smaller size wheel and short shifter.

The engine range is maintained until the arrival of the 1.6 THP 260 hp
Peugeot RCZ 2013The engine range is remodeled, but until the release of the 1.6 THP 260 hp will still have the three options we knew so far: 2.0 HDi FAP 163 bhp and 1.6 THP 156 and 200 hp. The diesel 2.0 HDi FAP 163 hp is available only with manual transmission and homologate 139 g / km of CO2 and a combined cycle fuel consumption of 5.3 liters per 100 kilometers.

The 1.6 THP petrol engine of 156 hp is available as standard with manual and approval as 159 g / km of CO2 and 6.4 l/100 km in the combined cycle. Alternatively you can opt to a six-speed automatic transmission and approval as 168 g / km of CO2 and 7.3 l/100 km. The most powerful, for now, will remain the 1.6 THP 200 hp, approving 155 g / km of CO2 and 6.7 l/100 km in the combined cycle.

An interesting development is the Sound System, available as standard on the Sport Pack option. According to the definition of the brand “motor beeps controlled and amplified by an acoustic duct pace of acceleration and maintaining low noise levels on long distances”

Peugeot RCZ R Concept: an advance of R RCZ 1.6 THP 260 hp
Peugeot RCZ 2013The climax of the sporty Peugeot RCZ come with the 1.6 THP 260 hp, the sportiest of all inspired by the first “first steps” in the competition of the RCZ. For now await the Paris Motor Show a prototype called R Concept Peugeot RCZ, decorated in matte black and copper, which is advancing some details of this model will arrive in showrooms next year.

In the absence of more pictures I anticipate that with its 260 horsepower approved CO2 emissions will be of only 155 g / km (below even the 1.6 THP 156 hp manual), and will feature specific suspension and a Torsen differential limited slip.
