Mercedes CLS Shooting Brake, the price in Germany will not exceed by more than 2,000 € to Coupé

Mercedes-Benz has achieved its purpose of launching a high-end shooting brake that combines a priori contradictory concepts as space, comfort and sportiness. While it is rumored that in the near future S-Class will grow with new models such as a large family estate, the nearest option and captivating is the Mercedes CLS Shooting Brake whose sales will begin in October (currently in Germany) from € 61,761 (taxes included).

The most interesting, without knowing the official prices for Spain is that the Mercedes CLS Shooting Brake will have a premium on the Mercedes CLS Coupé less than 2,000 € according to German rates. That means that the base model CLS 250 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY with a diesel engine of 2,143 cm3, 204 hp and drive 7 G-TRONIC PLUS should cost around € 65,000. Consider that “coupe” (it’s actually a four-door sedan) and family are two very different options and almost antagonistic, but the truth is that the advantages of the latter are remarkable as for the price difference we choose lower than expected a priori.

In the case of the Mercedes CLS 63 AMG Shooting Brake the difference is even more interesting because in Germany is only € 1,300 more expensive than the Mercedes CLS 63 AMG Coupé.

Mercedes CLS Shooting Brake Edition 1: a release exclusive and striking
For added interest, and as has happened often with the launch of a new Mercedes-Benz, there will be a special edition release called Mercedes CLS Shooting Brake Edition 1. It will differ from a first glimpse of its body color in designo magno matt dark gray, a color that could also equip the new Mercedes A-Class to anything small fee of 2,300 €. It will also be available in three shades, probably more discrete, metallic obsidian black, palladium silver metallic silver and blue Cavansite.

To this Edition 1, which will be sold during the first year and should also reach the Spanish market, has chosen a configuration with tone leather-trimmed white pearl, with the emblem Edition T 1 and aluminum pedals.

While we wait to confirm prices for Spain we think that will focus on the 65,000 € and 134,000 €, including taxes and registration.
